How it works

No plans. No lock-in. Just real help.

Most IT companies want you on a monthly plan before they'll lift a finger. We're not built that way.

You call us when something's wrong. We come on-site, or jump on remotely, and we fix it. If we spot something else worth improving while we're there — a backup that hasn't run since 2023, a router that's well past its prime, a Microsoft 365 licence sitting on the wrong account — we tell you. No upsell, no scope creep. You decide if and when to act.

When you call us back six weeks later for the next thing, the technician already knows your setup. We keep proper notes after every visit, so the next one picks up where the last one left off — even if it's a different person turning up.

That's what most small businesses actually want from IT — not a monthly bill, just someone who knows your stuff and turns up when called. That's what we do.

● What we help with

The IT problems that slow small businesses down.

01

Day-to-day fixes (on-site or remote)

Printer down, someone locked out of their email, a shared drive that's decided to stop cooperating — we handle the day-to-day issues that shouldn't take up your morning. Remote where possible, on-site when it matters.

02

New office, relocation or fitout

New premises, second site, or finally moving out of the spare bedroom — we scope and set up the network, Wi-Fi, printers and workstations so your first day there isn't spent on hold with your ISP.

03

Microsoft 365 & business email

Staff inboxes, shared mailboxes, calendar access, licence management and migrations — set up correctly, not just close enough. We'll also tell you when a cheaper plan would do the same job.

04

Office Wi-Fi & networking

Reliable Wi-Fi across the whole shop or office, switches and access points where they need to be, and guest networks for clients. Full home and small-office network detail on our Internet & Wi‑Fi page.

05

New starter & leaver setup

New hire on Monday, someone finishing up on Friday — account provisioning, device setup and access removal done consistently and documented. The access that needs to be off when someone leaves is always off.

06

Backups & business continuity

Practical, verified backups for the data your business depends on — configured, tested, and documented. We don't sell you a product you don't understand. We make sure what's running is actually working.

07

Improvements & honest advice

Thinking about upgrading your gear, moving to the cloud, or just want a second opinion before spending money? We'll review what you have, tell you what's worth addressing and what isn't, and write up a clear recommendation. No agenda.

08

Sole traders & home offices

Running the business from home or flying solo — your setup deserves the same attention as a full office. We treat your one laptop and NBN connection with the same care we'd give a large business.

● What we hear most

Sound like your business? We sort it.

  • Our printer keeps dropping out.

We hear this one a lot. We'll look at what's going on and get it sorted.

  • We've been getting suspicious emails and I'm not sure if we're properly protected.

A common concern. We'll look at what's in place, check the obvious gaps, and tell you honestly what's worth addressing and what isn't.

  • One of our staff can't get into their email — and we're not sure if the account's been compromised.

Account access and security issues are something we see regularly. We'll get into it and work out what's happened.

  • We've just bought a new laptop and need it set up properly for the business.

We'll get it onto your network, connected to your accounts, and configured the way your business actually runs — not just out of the box.

  • The Wi-Fi drops out constantly and it's starting to affect how we work.

Unreliable networking is one of the most common things we get called in for. We'll find what's causing it and sort it properly.

  • Our computers are getting slow — we're not sure whether to repair, upgrade or replace.

We'll tell you honestly which machines are worth keeping and which aren't, and help you get the right replacements without paying for more than you need.

If any of those sound like your situation, give us a call or book a visit — we'll work out what's going on.

Honest take

What we're not.

We're not a managed service provider. There's no 24/7 monitoring, no guaranteed after-hours response, and no service-tier menu. If your business genuinely needs that — a regulated industry, a dependency on overnight processing, an enterprise security posture — a dedicated MSP is the right call.

We don't resell software or take commissions on the gear we suggest. The advice you get from us is the advice — not the sales pitch.

Straight up

Pay for the time, not the contract.

A fixed hourly rate with no call-out fee within 25 km of the Hobart CBD. For those a little further out — up to 40 km — we still come to you, just with a small distance fee on top. The cost is agreed before we start, so there are no surprises when we leave.

For larger jobs — an office relocation, a fitout, a planning piece — we scope it out first and quote in advance.

No retainers, no minimum spend, no lock-in. You pay for the time you use.

● A visit, start to finish

Call, fix, document.

01

Call us, or send the form.

Same day for urgent things where we can, otherwise within 1–2 business days. Tell us what's going on and we'll work out what's needed.

02

On-site, or remote — whichever's quicker.

Most issues we can knock over remotely. For the rest, we come to you. We'll say up front which is going to be faster for the job at hand.

03

Fixed — and written down.

Every visit ends with notes added to your file: the gear, the accounts, what we did, what we suggested for next time. The next technician picks up exactly where we left off — even months later, even if it's a different person.

● Business IT questions

Common questions, straight answers.

Can't see yours? Give us a ring or send it through on the booking form and we'll get back to you — usually within a few hours during the day.

● Ready when you need us

You've got enough on your plate.
