The beach end of Kingborough, where the streets run down the slope to the sand and the coast keeps going south to the blowhole. A lot of two-storey homes built to face the water, which puts floors between the modem and the rooms that need signal — the single most common reason we get called down here.
Up the hill to the north, Kingston is the Kingborough centre — the shops, the schools and the main road south. Different suburb, different character: flatter blocks, newer estates, and far more small-business work than the beach streets below it.
North-east along the coast road back toward Hobart, Taroona is the steep water-view strip below the Shot Tower. Similar slope problems to Blackmans Bay, and often the same run for us on a trip out this way.
Further south down the Channel, Margate is the quieter village past the last of the suburb. Bigger blocks, more distance between houses, and the kind of setup where getting signal to a shed or a studio matters as much as the house itself.
